Unfortunately, we frequently see poorly installed dryer vents and inappropriate ventilators (see photograph #1). This can cause serious damage to your building (see photograph #2).
In addition to damage to the decking, it can cause problems with condensation, bad ventilation, rot and other problems over time. If you have this kind of vent, we strongly recommend that you clean the boxes two to three times per year and when your membrane is repaired. If you no longer wish to do this maintenance, ask your roofer to correct the situation.
