ELECTRICAL WIRING TRIPOD BASE

Electrical wiring tripod bases can cause more damage than you can imagine. It is very important to have them checked during a roofing inspection.

In the photograph below (left), you can see that the nail on one of the corners holding the metal part to the wooded base perforated the membrane, causing water infiltration. Below (right), the base was in such bad condition that the tripod fell, leaving the electric wires in a bad position. This represented a serious danger for the occupants and/or the buildings. Suggestion: During your roofing inspection, a quick glance will give you an excellent idea of the condition of the wood base, and if necessary, you can have it changed by an electrician or by your roofer.
